About your character
Name: Baron Moody

Age: 20
Birthday: Feb 16, 1960
Bloodline: Pureblood
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Place of Residence: A nicely sized house with his wife and child before his death. Hogwarts upon return I think.
Appearance
Height: 5'11

Distinguishing Marks: None
Other/general description: Baron looks a lot like his father and uncle, something he takes pride in. There are no two finer men than Callum and Alastor Moody. He keeps his hair cut and nails groomed, and if he does sport facial hair it's very clean-cut. He's a shade taller than his father and uncle, something he used to tease his dad about mercilessly.

House: Ravenclaw
Other Affiliations: Quidditch 1973-1978. Prefect. Lost Head Boy position to James Potter
Current Occupation: (if applicable) Before his death, he was an apprentice Dragon Tamer
Returnee: Yes
Personality
Personality: Baron is a strong, driven individual. He makes decisions quickly, but not without thought. Quick to action but not rash, Baron is the type of guy who knows what he wants and goes out to get it. He sometimes keeps things close to his chest, until he's figured out the best course of action to achieve it. He has an equal love of learning and adventure, and actually learns best with hands-on activities. Traits: determined, pragmatic, patient, disciplined
Special abilities/strengths/flaws Baron is very good with Charms and Transfiguration. He is also a brilliant flier and good with Magical Animals. He is not so great at being flexible, especially once he's made his mind up. Other than defensive spells learned to protect against dragons and other magical creatures, he's not the best duelist.
Relevant backstory: Baron never knew his mother, but never felt that was something lacking in his life. He had his dad, his grandparents and his Uncle Al. Some might have said his younger years were lacking in a mother's touch, but Baron never complained. He had his grandma for that, and she was brilliant. Strong and loving, and he respected her, and his grandfather, greatly. He never felt he lacked for anything.
He was resourceful from a young age, knowing when to stay out of the way when the Dragon Tamers needed him to. But he also soaked up knowledge from them, learning to fly well before Hogwarts and a few non-standard spells as well. There was a lot of sleeping in tents and outdoors, but for an active little boy, it was as close to paradise as you could get.
For the first eleven years of his life, his world was pretty limited. Dad was his most important person, followed by his grandparents and Uncle Al, and branching out to the fellow Dragon Tamers his Dad worked with. Hogwarts was a novel experience, and he was overwhelmed by all the other kids. He'd never been around many children growing up on the reserve. There'd been the village children he went to school with, but he'd never made any close friendships. Why would he need to when his Dad and the others were so much cooler!
But Baron was good at making the best of situations, though he stayed away from anyone loud and obnoxious. The Sorting Hat was an interesting experience, and it took a long time to place him in his House. Eventually he was Sorted into Ravenclaw. He was a little disappointed not to have been in his Dad's House, but being in the same house as Uncle Al had been was pretty neat.
School was a pleasant enough time for Baron, though he looked forward to each break when he would go back to the reserve. He tried hard in his classes, and made a couple of good friends including Megan Twilfoot, a fellow Ravenclaw in his year. They shared a love of dragons and experimental Transfiguration, which went beyond the gender difference. He joined the Quidditch team in 3rd year as a Beater, and went on his first date with one of Megan's friends to Hogsmeade. The relationship lasted two weeks, but Baron snogged his first girl during that time period. (Electives: COMC, Muggle Studies, Ancient Runes)
In fifth year he began thinking about what he wanted to do with his future. There were so many interesting career choices, but he finally settled on something that came as nothing of a surprise to anyone who knew him: Dragon Taming. Really, there had never been another option for him. He'd practically been a Keeper in training since before he could talk. He and Megan began dating in the fall of sixth year, a relationship that would last the rest of their time in school.
After Hogwarts it didn't take long, only about two months, for Baron and Megan to decide to get married. They knew they were young, but they also knew what they wanted and had never been the types to wait once their minds were made up. Soon after that Cora was on the way, and Megan moved in with Baron's grandparents for most of the pregnancy. Baron threw himself into fatherhood, using his own father as an example. There was no better man in his opinion, and he'd count himself lucky if he was half as good.
As soon as it was safe, Megan and Cora moved back with Baron on the reserve, though they still spent a lot of time with the grandparents. Unfortunately that world was cut short on Cora's first birthday, when Death Eaters killed their entire family during a party at the Moody's home.
Baron will return from the summer of 1980, a few weeks before the murders.
